Jassie Gill was born Jasdeep Singh Gill in a small village near Khanna in Punjab.During his schooling at Gobindgarh Public College, he studied music and physical education, and regularly participated in youth festivals — he placed second four years in a row.
To support his dream, Jassie traveled to Australia, where he washed cars to earn money and fund his first music project. He returned to India determined to break into the Punjabi music world.
His breakthrough came in 2011 with his debut album Batchmate. Over the years, he released chart-topping songs like “Lancer”, “Bapu Zimidar”, “Nikle Currant”, and many more.
