Bohemia’s story isn’t just about fame — it’s about transformation, identity, and breaking new ground. Born into a Punjabi-Christian family in Karachi, he spent part of his early childhood in Pakistan before relocating with family to the United States around age 13–14.
Struggling with cultural displacement and longing for home, Bohemia turned to music and poetry as a way to channel his emotions. What began as Punjabi poetry recitations gradually evolved into rhythm and rap when, in early 2000s, a collaboration with American hip-hop producer Sha One led him to record in Punjabi for the first time.
His debut album Vich Pardesan De (2002) — literally “In the foreign land” — was autobiographical, narrating his immigrant struggle.
