Born and raised in Chennai, Trisha Krishnan studied at Sacred Heart Matriculation School and earned a BBA at Ethiraj College for Women. Originally interested in becoming a criminal psychologist, she switched paths after winning Miss Salem and Miss Chennai in 1999 and appearing in the Falguni Pathak music video “Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye”. She declined early film offers, prioritizing education, before receiving acting offers from top directors.
